Il Venerdì Santo è "Teco Vorrei o Signore" - The Good Friday is “Teco Vorrei o Signore”

Alle 18 di questo pomeriggio partirà il maestoso corteo per la processione del Cristo morto e della Madonna Addolorata dalla Chiesa di Santa Maria della Croce nel centro storico di Campobasso passando lungo le vie della città. Durante tutto il percorso si intonerà la canzone che più fa commuovere i campobassani durante la Settimana Santa ossia l’ Inno all’Addolorata, composizione di inizio Novecento del maestro Michele De Nigris sui versi di Pietro Metastasio. La particolarità del nostro corteo sta nell’avere un coro di circa 700 persone che cantano in più voci lo straziante dolore della Madonna Addolorata con il famoso attacco “Teco vorrei o Signore…”

In this afternoon at 18 o’clock the majestic cortege will start from Santa Maria della Croce Church in the ancient village of Campobasso for the procession of the dead Christ and Our Lady of Sorrows passing through the streets of the city. Along the entire route a song will be sung, the most moving one for the people of town in the Holy Week, that is “Inno all’Addolorata” a composition made by the master Michele De Nigris on the verses of Pietro Metastasio in the early twentieth century. The particularity of our procession is having a choir of about 700 people that sing, in more than a voice, the excruciating pain of Our Lady of Sorrow with the famous musical attack “Teco vorrei o Signore…”
